Ana Karen Figueroa García has experience in public service at the federal and local levels in Mexico. She has worked at the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, investigating fraud, corruption, and misconduct, and at a Public Trust of the Secretariat of Economic Development in the local government of Aguascalientes, driving economic growth while promoting clean energy, gender equality, and sustainable development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes.
With nine years of volunteer service through Rotary International, Ana Karen co-founded the civil association Rotaract Pro Paz. Through Rotary, she has contributed to social projects addressing education, public health, natural disasters, environmental issues, and promoting positive peace. She also served as an ambassador for the Institute for Economics & Peace. Her multicultural experiences include volunteering at the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at American University, Washington, D.C., where she engaged in the importance of the perspective and promotion of human rights.
