Abroad: London, England, Fall 2025
Abby Hernan is a junior at the University of Notre Dame, double majoring in political science and applied and computational mathematics and statistics, with minors in European studies and the Glynn Family Honors Program. Through the International Scholars Program, she works with Professor Brian Ó Conchubhair on research related to language and education in Northern Ireland. Her current project focuses on Scoil na Seolta, a new integrated Irish-medium primary school in east Belfast, and its role in shaping community identity. Outside of the program, Abby serves as Opinion Editor for The Observer, contributes to the Student Policy Network, and is preparing to complete a senior thesis through the Glynn Family Honors Program.
