Abby Hernan is a first-year at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Political Science and Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics with a minor in the Glynn Family Honors Program. She is a member of the Student Policy Network and College Democrats. With family in the Middle East, she is interested in the region, especially in promoting democracy and education. Before attending Notre Dame, she tutored young children at her local homeless shelter, sparking an interest in expanding access to education.
