About

This profile was current as of 2023, when she was part of the on-campus Kellogg community.

Madeline Johns is majoring in biology and minoring in international development studies. In January, she completed a virtual internship with a public health organization in Uganda. During this, she worked on a project aiming to educate a group of women and girls on menstrual health and help them gain the skills needed to adequately manage their menstrual cycles. Aside from this project, Johns has also been involved in other development-related programs at Notre Dame, such as the annual Global Health Case Competition and Human Development Conference. Her involvement in these programs (and in the Kellogg Institute) stems from her passion for global health and health equity. This has led her to pursue her minor in international development studies. This minor has allowed her to expand her knowledge on the subjects that interest her by taking courses focused on development and global health.
