USAID’s Role in Advancing Religious Freedom: A Conversation with Samah Norquist
Samah Norquist, Chief Advisor for International Religious Freedom at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), will explore why religious freedom is a critical component of international development and US national security. She will discuss USAID’s work to advance religious freedom globally, including the Agency’s implementation of a recent presidential executive order and efforts to bring innovative approaches to foreign assistance. The discussion will also highlight the US government’s responses to severe violations of religious freedom in countries like Iraq, China, Nigeria, and Nicaragua.
