Faculty Fellow Elisabeth Köll was featured in China Files due to her new book Railroads and the Transformation of China as it is the first comprehensive history of railroad operations from the las decade of the Qing Empire to the present, in any language. It shows how they serve as an enduring model of Chinese infrastructure expansion after its sruvival of the 1949 Communist revolution.
