Immigration on the Front Lines: A Mayor's Perspective
As mayor of New Mexico's largest city, University of Notre Dame graduate Tim Keller has been at the front of the nation's immigration debate as an outspoken proponent of welcoming migrants and helping asylum seekers find sanctuary. The Albuquerque mayor will speak in an armchair conversation about topics including detention centers, border protection, and the city's efforts to process thousands of migrants per month. The discussion will be moderated by Kellogg Faculty Fellow Tamara Kay, an associate professor of global affairs and sociology at the Keough School of Global Affairs and a former Albuquerque resident. A light lunch will be provided.
