Bernard Samuel McNamee ‘28 is a member of the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program majoring in history with minors in philosophy, constitutional studies, and the Glynn Family Honors Program. He is committed to research and currently serves as an editor for the Notre Dame Historical Review and a research assistant to professor Darren Dochuk on the topic of religion and energy in America. Over the summer of 2025, he conducted research for Historic St. John’s Church in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia.
McNamee is also invested in public service, a duty he fulfills in the Fall of 2025 as a member of the Student Policy Network, where he gathers and presents information to improve local government in Chicago. While on campus, he lives in O’Neill Family Hall.
