Catherine (Reidy) Kress is the Head of Geopolitical Research & Strategy at BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). In this role, she leads the development of the firm's geopolitical views and liaises with BlackRock's investors and key stakeholders on matters of geopolitical importance. Catherine also is a key member of BlackRock’s External Affairs initiative, supporting BlackRock’s efforts related to corporate affairs and public policy. Prior to joining BlackRock, Catherine worked as an analyst on Eurasia Group's Global Strategy and Analytics team, where she oversaw the firm's comparative research and drove strategic initiatives on behalf of the founder and president. She was a student in the Kellogg Institute’s International Scholars Program (ISP) while attending the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a BA in psychology and anthropology. She went on to complete an MSc in African studies at Oxford University, where she was a Clarendon Scholar.
