Valentina is a political scientist and economist, specializing in care policies with a gender perspective. She has five years of experience as a researcher in national and international nongovernmental organizations and consultancy groups. Her work has been focused on business and human rights, development, and peacebuilding. She most recently worked for the Business and Human Rights Resource Center as a researcher of the Colombia program where she monitors human rights violations related to business operations in Latin America, researches business and human rights in Colombia with a special focus on environmental justice, and is in charge of the database on human rights defenders in business contexts in Colombia. Valentina is the recipient of the Rev. Robert Pelton, CSC Fellowship.
