Kellogg Faculty Fellow Roger Alford was recently featured in an article on The Hill website discussing the decision to name Google a monopolist in the US v. Google antitrust case.
This ruling marked a significant win for the Department of Justice as it continues to litigate antitrust cases. Alford described this as “one of the most important monopoly cases that the Department of Justice has brought since the Microsoft case,” referencing the 2001 Microsoft antitrust case which allowed PC manufacturers to adopt non-Microsoft software.
