About

Maria Molina is a member of the Class of ’29 with a strong interest in technology, economics and social impact. Specifically, she is engaged with topics that relate to migration, Latin America development and sustainable agricultural practices. Molina is curious about how technology innovation and economic policies can be used to improve living standards in vulnerable communities and promote inclusive growth. She is deeply focused on the role of migration in shaping labor markets and regional development in Latin America and interested in the use of AI for the common good, like applications that include effective agricultural practices, increase productivity and improve food security but at the same time remain environmentally sustainable.

At the time, Maria is exploring these themes through coursework and independent research and projects. She developed an automatic irrigation system using Arduino, showcasing how technology can be used to improve agricultural practices and manage effectively resources. Passionate about applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges, she aspires to pursue future research that interlinks policy evaluation, data analysis and technological design, looking to create practical solutions with global impacts.
