Riley Klich '28 is majoring in Political Science with minors in the Hesburgh Program in Public Service and Education, Schooling, and Society. Klich's research interests involve how flaws in the education system, such as achievement gaps, can be repaired through policy initiatives. She is interested in researching educational topics, like school choice, funding, access to schooling, and differences in education globally. She is interested in the intersection of education and government.
On campus, Klich serves on the Sophomore Class Council Communications committee, is a member of the Education, Schooling, and Society student board, and works for ND Listens.
Last year, she was a part of a Notre Dame Student Policy Network team that presented a policy recommendation designing financial literacy education programs to Illinois Policy Institute. She currently interns for the Alliance for Catholic Education Program for Educational Access through the Notre Dame Political Science department. There, she assists in event planning and policy research surrounding school choice. She is eager to develop her research and leadership skills through the Kellogg Developing Researchers program.
