About

Nan Jiang is a Ph.D. student in economics at the University of Notre Dame. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of international trade, climate change, and development. In particular, he is interested in the role of technology diffusion in fostering economic growth and addressing environmental challenges. His current project explores how international trade facilitates the adoption of new technology, with a focus on green innovations that can reduce global carbon emissions. By analyzing the mechanisms through which knowledge and technology spread across borders, his work highlights how policies and institutions can help ensure that globalization benefits developing countries while supporting climate resilience.

Before joining the Ph.D. program at Notre Dame, he received an M.S. degree in economics from Tufts University and a B.A. in economics from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
