Connor Mulligan, class of 2027, from Cincinnati, Ohio, is majoring in neuroscience and behavior with a minor in scientific computing at Notre Dame. Connor is interested in research that improves human health and addresses disparities in global healthcare. He wants to contribute in ways that are not only scientifically rigorous but also scalable, affordable, and easy to deliver at the point of care. As an undergraduate researcher in the Vaughan lab, he investigates cellular mechanisms for activating immune responses in pancreatic cancer. In addition to his research, Connor serves as a technical market analyst at Notre Dame's IDEA Center, where he evaluates emerging biotechnologies for their commercial potential.
Connor is also deeply committed to service. As a mentor and programming assistant with Mercy Works at Transformation Ministries, he leads educational activities and creates programming to foster personal and academic growth for elementary and high school students. Additionally, he volunteers as a cook at Dismas House of Indiana, supporting reintegration efforts for formerly incarcerated individuals.
Connor aims to bridge his technical expertise with service-oriented goals to create meaningful change in underserved communities.
