Kellogg Doctoral Student Affiliate Joséphine Lechartre has been named a fellow of the Centre for the Comparative Study of Civil War at the University of York (UK) for the next academic year. As part of this Civil War Paths fellowship, she will write for th project's blog and present research at the organization's annual conference, sharing findings that emerged from Kellogg-funded research.
The Centre for the Comparative Study of Civil War is based in the Department of Politics at the University of York to host the project, conduct world-leading comparative research on civil war and inform policy on sustaining peace, showcase cutting-edge research in the Civil War Paths Seminar Series, and bring together global interdisciplinary expertise on conflict and peace to form the foundation for continued research and impact in this field.
Lechartre is a PhD candidate in peace studies and political science at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, researching processes of political learning and organization in civilian populations during wars, with a focus on Guatemala.
