Faculty Fellow Yong Suk Lee was recently interviewed by Robotics & Automation News regarding his co-authored paper titled “The Evolving Impact of Robots on Jobs.”
With the rise of AI, many people have been concerned that automation will displace workers. Lee’s research “found that industrial robots, particularly those used within the automotive industry, complemented human workers rather than replaced them – some even working collaboratively, side-by-side.”
Further, Lee proposed artificial intelligence “could create new opportunities that we haven’t yet seen or thought of.”
