Ignacio Sánchez Osores is a Ph.D. student in Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Notre Dame. He earned her B.A. and M.A. in Hispanic Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He finalized her M.A. with a National Master’s Fellowship granted by the Chilean Education Ministry and in 2021 received Notre Dame’s Presidential Fellowship in Humanities and Social Sciences.
Currently, his research interests include 20th- and 21st-Century Latin American Literatures and Cultures (especially Southern Cone), Queer/Cuir Theory, Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies, Trans*/Travesti Studies, Affect Theory, Queer/Cuir Ecologies. He is interested in the deviants and located relations between Latin American Literatures and Cultures and dissidents sexualities, particularly in 20th- and 21st-Century narrative and poetry.
He has published book chapters, book reviews and articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as Chasqui: revista de literatura latinoamericana, A Contracorriente: una revista de estudios latinoamericanos (forthcoming), Nomadías. Revista del Centro de Estudios de Género y Cultura de América Latina, Revista Lingüística y Literatura, among others.
