Martina Cha is from Montevideo, Uruguay. She graduated from Universidad ORT Uruguay with a degree in Economics. Before joining the Ph.D. in Economics program at the University of Notre Dame she worked as an analyst at a multinational advisory firm in Montevideo. Her research interests include macroeconomics, labor and international economics.
