Since 1993, former Kellogg doctoral student Enrique Dussel Peters (PhD '96, economics) has been a professor in the Graduate School of Economics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he is the coordinator of the Center for Chinese-Mexican Studies (Cechimex) and of the Academic Network of Latin America and the Caribbean on China (Red ALC-China).
Dussel Peters' research has focused on the theory of industrial organization, economic development, political economy, as well as the development of the manufacturing, commercial, and regional sectors in Latin America and Mexico. He has authored articles, books, and book chapters on political economy, industrial organization, development, processes of segments of global value chains, and the socioeconomic Latin America- and Caribbean-China relationship in Spanish, German, English, Chinese, and Portuguese.
