Minha Ansari is a senior at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Science-Business. Ansari is highly interested in learning and working to solve medical issues in developing countries. Her main focus is understanding the lack of medicine in underdeveloped areas and its effects on the population. During the summer of 2021, Ansari completed a research internship with Foundations for International Medical Relief of Children. Ansari took part in their Virtual Global Health Fellowship where she was introduced to medical journal articles on the health issues faced in Peru, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic and Uganda, and she learned how to analyze global health problems. Ansari is also part of the Notre Dame Institute For Advanced Study where she researches with two graduate students. Their work consists of understanding why patients fail to follow the medical advice given by their doctors. Further, Ansari is also interested in studying integrative therapies for patients who have undergone extensive surgeries and treatments, specifically with cancer patients.
