About

Meghan Figueras ’23 is majoring in biological sciences and theology on the pre-med track. This summer, Figueras is participating in a virtual public health internship in South Africa. She is working on a research project, funded by UNAIDS, that qualitatively examines the resources offered by NGOs initially funded to combat HIV/AIDS, that have expanded to include resources to combat TB and COVID-19. Figueras is particularly interested in the role of NGOs in providing and supplementing health resources.
