Kevin Li is a first year PhD student in political science. He studies international relations theory and security studies. He obtained BA in International Affairs from GWU with Summa Cum Laude and MA in International Relations from University of Chicago with Honor. His Master’s Thesis develops a rationalist explanation for bait-and-bleed, or colloquially, "passive aggressiveness” in world politics. He is committed to building bridges between the rational choice approach, realist theories, and the military science. He is working on a research project on tacit commitment, which links two-levels game to extended nuclear deterrence spillover. He welcomes peer colleagues and especially academically aspiring undergrads to reach out and would try his best to help.
