Juan Carlos Gazmuri is a Chilean lawyer who graduated with the highest distinction from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2018. He holds an LLM in Public Law from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), where he graduated with distinction in 2023. He was a lecturer in Constitutional Law at the Universidad Finis Terrae. During his legal practice, Juan Carlos worked as a legal advisor to the President of the Chilean Senate and as Head of Legislative Affairs for the Undersecretary of Social Services of the Chilean Government. In 2022, during the Chilean Constitutional Referendum campaign, he worked as a civil society spokesman for an NGO advocacy group. Currently, as a J.S.D. candidate at Notre Dame, his research focuses on democratic systems, political parties, and the political effects of social media and digitalization.
