Joseph Carper is working with Professor Todd Walatka of the theology department. They are researching St. Óscar Romero’s conception of the beatitudes by linking together key texts and references scattered throughout his corpus of homilies. They also hope to differentiate between Romero’s attitude on Matthew’s beatitudes versus Luke’s beatitudes.
