John (Jack) Nash is studying science-business and global affairs. He works with Professor Steve Reifenberg, who is currently building a case that examines the Zambian government’s process in successfully developing the world’s first National Surgery, Obstetrics, and Anaesthesia Plan (NSOAP), and what that means for other nations. In addition to the International Scholars Program, Nash works with La Casa de Amistad, tutoring bilingual children grades K-5.
Nash spent the spring of 2021 working in the Pulte Institute for Global Development at the University of Notre Dame in compiling a literature review for a Chemonics project that concerned the global health supply chain in Ghana. Looking forward, Nash hopes to study abroad in Latin America to acquire a more evolved understanding of global health in the region and how the intersection of science and business can improve health standards in developing nations.
