Jeevun Tarsney '29 is a Glynn Family Honors Student studying Political Science and Philosophy. Tarsney is well-versed in research tools such as Zotero, Excel, introductory R, and regression models. Tarsney conducted humanities research in high school on Chicago politics and corruption, culminating in the publication of a lengthy paper in a reputable academic journal in 2024. Last semester, Tarsney participated in a Student Policy Network project with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, focusing on human rights violations in Latin American countries, and learned about international law, systemic oppression, and related issues. As part of KDR, Tarsney hopes to join a faculty project that continues this focus on democratization, oppression, and human rights in Latin America or elsewhere globally.
