Abroad: Ireland, Fall 2024
James Thompson's research focuses on religious and racial solidarity in both ideology and practice. Alongside Professor Omer, he has co-authored work on Black Christian Zionism and broader Evangelical engagement with Zionism. In addition to being a Kellogg International Scholar, he is an Ethics Research Fellow with the Institute for Ethics and The Common Good, where his work centers on understanding obligation and solidarity, particularly in the contexts of migration and climate change. His previous experience includes assisting migration clinics in Chile through the RISE program, and completing an internship at the Library of Congress as part of the CCLP Program with the Institute for Latino Studies at Notre Dame. Currently, he is conducting research in Ireland, exploring Christian Zionism in a country where it remains a minority perspective.
