2014-2015 Vitulli will present the paper “Baroque Culture and Creole Deixis: Problems and Intersections of the Spanish American Baroque” as part of the session “ Latin American Literary Colonial Studies: Between Archives, Memories, and Texts.” It will also be an opportunity to share his current academic research with a broader audience and to present and promote his new book project, tentatively titled “The Hispanic Baroque Preacher: A Cultural History of an Imperial Actor.”
