About

Grace Frye ‘29 is a Biological Sciences major with a supplementary major in Spanish and minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine. Frye is pursuing her passion for Spanish while expanding her knowledge in STEM and healthcare, with the goal of using her language skills as a physician to make high-quality healthcare more accessible to diverse communities. Outside of the classroom, she tutors at the Robinson Community Learning Center and is an active member of the Global Health Club and the American Medical Women’s Association.

Frye is currently conducting research in Dr. Perkins’ lab, which focuses on understanding the burden of infectious diseases and predicting how they respond to interventions. Her work specifically involves collaborating with Gavi to estimate the costs associated with illness such as yellow fever and other vaccine-preventable diseases.

Through her research and extracurricular involvement, Frye is committed to exploring global health, the intersection of Spanish and healthcare, and ways to improve the quality and accessibility of care, while continuing to develop her research skills.
