About

Evelyn Kelly ‘29 is a Political Science and Spanish major with a passion for faith, public service, and leadership. During her first semester at Notre Dame, Kelly joined the Student Policy Network and worked with A More Just Chicago, a nonprofit focused on improving democracy in Chicago. Kelly and her team researched current barriers to political participation and issues within the government structure, and examined how a charter might address these problems. Kelly’s experience on this project has sparked her research interest in all areas related to democracy and public policy, especially at the municipal and state levels. She aspires to pursue a career in law or government with a focus on creating meaningful and lasting change.
