The Kellogg Institute for International Studies, part of the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs, is an interdisciplinary community of scholars that promotes research, provides educational opportunities, and builds linkages related to its core research theme of global democracy.

ISP Alumni Virtual Talks
The Kellogg Institute is hosting a series of virtual talks with its distinguished alumni. The week of March 18-22, students of the Kellogg International Scholars Program are invited to meet with four of Kellogg's ISP alumni via virtual Alumni Talks. Below are more details about each session. Kellogg alumni will talk about their careers and share advice with current students. Kellogg International Scholar MacKenzie Isaac is a sociology and Latino studies major who is studying attitudes toward skin bleaching ¬among Caribbean and Caribbean-American college students.
I’m concerned about the impact of climate change, which many public health experts say is the biggest global health problem today. In addition to its direct health impacts, such as death and injury during floods and storms, climate change increases the spread of disease vectors, air pollution, and water pollution, and contributes to migration and food insecurity. Climate change is a significant barrier to human development because it threatens the health of communities around the world.
In September, the Ford Program and the Kellogg Institute’s Undergraduate Student Programs collaborated to mark the World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Rev. Daniel Groody, CSC, whose work focuses on migrants, celebrated mass, and a panel of students shared their research on migrants and refugees. Here, an economics and political science major reflects on her research on the US-Mexico border. With others, she is building a website to share her findings.
