Domingo Huerta is a member of the University of Notre Dame Class of 2029 studying Economics in the College of Arts and Letters. His experiences in Chile and across South America have shaped his interest in the broad development of nations, particularly in developing sustainable solutions to the growing trend of migration. This summer, he will be participating in NDBridge, where he hopes to fight injustices and provide support and resources that enable communities to thrive. Outside the classroom, Domingo participates in Bengal Bouts, where he fundraises to support the missions of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Bangladesh.
Through the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program, Domingo hopes to explore his interest in immigration and democracy and to apply his knowledge in economics and the realities of the southern hemisphere to raise greater awareness of the crises our modern era faces.
