Join us on the first Wednesday of each month in the Kellogg Commons for a brief spotlight on the democracy-related work happening across the Institute (and enjoy some coffee and donuts while you're there). This is a space to connect with one another and learn more about the work being done to support our shared mission.

Short remarks at 9:15am
At this upcoming session, we will highlight Kellogg graduate students who received Democracy Catalyst grants through the Democracy Initiative, showcasing innovative research and programming that advance democratic inquiry and practice:

  • Victoria Basulto, Kellogg PhD fellow in the Department of History, will speak about the Democracy in Mexico Speaker Series.
  • Clare Bath, Kellogg doctoral affiliate in Sociology, will speak about her project, “International and Civil Implications of an Unrecognized Country: The Case of Somaliland.”
  • Peitong Jing, Kellogg doctoral affiliate in the Department of Political Science, will discuss her research, “Participatory Propaganda: How Leaders Use Mobile Political Apps to Cultivate Loyalties in India and China.”

Each month we will highlight a democracy-related initiative or program and share updates about upcoming events and opportunities related to this theme.
