Connor Mulligan is a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio, majoring in neuroscience and behavior with a minor in scientific computing at the University of Notre Dame. Connor is interested in research that improves human health and addresses disparities in global healthcare. As an undergraduate researcher in the Vaughan lab, he investigates cellular mechanisms for activating immune responses in pancreatic cancer. In addition to his research, Connor serves as a technical market analyst at Notre Dame's IDEA Center, where he evaluates emerging biotechnologies for their commercial potential. He collaborates with inventors to conduct risk assessments, assess technical innovations, and develop strategies for commercialization. Connor is also deeply committed to service. As a mentor and programming assistant with Mercy Works at Transformation Ministries, he leads educational activities and creates programming to foster personal and academic growth for elementary and high school students. Additionally, he volunteers as a cook at Dismas House of Indiana, supporting reintegration efforts for formerly incarcerated individuals. Connor aims to bridge his technical expertise with service-oriented goals to create meaningful change in underserved communities.
