Carter Kenny '29 is majoring in History with the aim of attending law school. Outside of class, he enjoys rock climbing, weightlifting, and reading and serves as a volunteer tutor in the South Bend Community. Kenny's research interests include human rights protection with particular focus on the maintenance and enforcement of labor law and international trade policy. Additionally, he hopes to research modern and historical economic growth and apply that data in pursuing positive outcomes in development across the globe. Through his future work at the university, Kenny aims to bridge the gap between academic study and ethical outreach. He hopes to learn technical data collection and analysis skills to better understand global justice issues and economic development challenges. He seeks to integrate Catholic humanitarian concerns with rigorous scholarship to address complex global challenges effectively.
