Amelia Markson ‘28 is a political science and theology major from Toronto, Canada. During the summer of 2025, she interned in the Office of the Premier of Ontario on the stakeholder relations team, where she engaged with and learned about government, public policy, and constituent engagement. Her research interests include exploring the development of women’s and children’s health and education across the globe, as well as examining the inner workings of corruption that pose threats to democratic institutions in different political regimes. In addition to her studies, Markson is a member of the University of Notre Dame’s marching band and serves as an ambassador, helping recruit and mentor new participants.
