Adrian Zheng is a first-year at the University of Notre Dame majoring in political science. His academic interests span a broad spectrum, including international policy focusing on federal media security policies, international law, democracy, policy-making, East Asian studies, and international relations. Adrian's research interest stemming from high school is evident in projects like his exploration of media's impact on U.S. national elections and the evolution of English literature poetry in the context of modern technology. He also conducted a project in the AP Capstone program, 'Exploring the Impact of Media Portrayal of Monkeypox on Public Opinion towards the LGBTQ2+ Community: A Comparative Study of the Monkeypox and AIDS Pandemic,' not only showcased his deep research skills but also earned him the AP Capstone diploma. His experiences helped him develop the ability to organize and analyze complex data, create insightful graphs, and synthesize diverse information. Adrian has also been recognized with a merit scholarship from the Reilly Trustee Program. Adrian is committed to social causes outside of academia by founding a non-profit organization dedicated to child cancer research and philanthropy.
