About

Aaliah Magee is a junior Business Analytics major with minors in Real Estate and Civil & Human Rights from Hammond, Indiana. Her academic interests focus on the intersection of data, race, and social equity, particularly how historical and contemporary systems shape access and opportunity. She has researched the globalization of the U.S. civil rights movement, examining its influence on South African apartheid, as well as on educational inequality across racial and ethnic lines, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. In business analytics, Aaliah has presented data-driven projects using R, Excel, and Power BI on topics such as crime reduction in Chicago and the role of music streaming platforms in supporting mental health. Most recently, she participated in a DEI-focused case competition exploring how private equity can advance health equity initiatives. Aaliah is eager to continue applying data-driven insights to socially impactful work.
