Yidu (Eva) Hu is a first-year at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Philosophy with a minor in the Glynn Family Honors Program. Constructing treehouses to stop global warming, championing worldwide garbage sorting policies to mitigate climate change, flipping social consensus to support an all-evil God - these are just a few “out-there” arguments Eva has entertained on the debate stage. Beyond debate, Eva relishes researching crazy arguments, viewing them as useful epistemological to examine the world. Her skepticism motivates her exploration of critical theory, bioethics, and education policies. Here at Notre Dame, Eva is also a Greater China Scholar, Building Bridge Scholar, and Mock Trial Competitor.
