The founder of the Lund Group of Associated Publishers (now Carvajal Informação B2B), a business media group providing information to businesses throughout Latin America and promotional opportunities to companies doing business in the region, Lund was its CEO and principal shareholder until 2007. He now directs Christopher Participações, Ltd., which manages the Lund family assets.

Lund serves on the boards of the Fulbright Commission; the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil, of which he is a past president; Viva o Centro, which is dedicated to reviving the center of São Paulo; and Associação Maria Helen Drexel, which works with Brazilian children at risk.

Lund is a 1961 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds an MA from the University of Wisconsin, where he met his wife, Sue. They have lived in Brazil since 1962. Their daughter Kristin has a masters in Peace Studies from Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and their daughter Carmen is a 1993 Notre Dame graduate. Lund has served on Notre Dame's Latin American and Caribbean Advisory Council and is a former Alumni Association regional director for Latin America
