Enrique Dussel Peters completed his bachelor's and master's studies at the Faculty of Political Science at the Free University of Berlin (1989) and is a PhD in Economics from the University of Notre Dame (1996). Since 1993, he has worked as a full-time professor and associate in the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

Since 1993, former Kellogg doctoral student Enrique Dussel Peters (PhD '96, economics) has been a professor in the Graduate School of Economics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he is the coordinator of the Center for Chinese-Mexican Studies (Cechimex) and of the Academic Network of Latin America and the Caribbean on China (Red ALC-China).
