Francisco De la Cuadra Mancilla is a member of the Class of ’29 at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Global Affairs and Economics. De la Cuadra's academic work focuses on public policy, development, and human rights, with particular attention to Latin America, combining qualitative research with economic and political analysis.

De la Cuadra previously served as a Research Assistant to Dr. Mariana Cordova Contreras at the Tecnologico de Monterrey Business School, where he conducted literature reviews and qualitative analysis on enforced disappearances in Mexico and coauthored a published article on the topic. He has also published opinion and analysis pieces on globalization, public policy, and human rights in regional newspapers and academic journals, participated as an invited speaker at Yale University discussing migration and human rights, and was a participant in the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum. Through the Kellogg Developing Researchers Program, De la Cuadra looks forward to continuing research that explores how policy can enhance opportunities in communities across Latin America.
