Janeth Manriquez Ruiz is a Ph.D. Candidate in Spanish at the University of Notre Dame's Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. Before attending Notre Dame, she earned a B.A. in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2022. Her research focuses on comparative analysis of contemporary spaces in the Spanish-speaking world, with a specific emphasis on the relationship between Mexico, Spain, and South Korea. Janeth’s academic interests include feminism, posthegemony, and infrapolitics, which she explores through the lens of modern and contemporary continental thought, with a particular focus on literature and film by women.
