Leticia Queiroz ’26 is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and is majoring in Business Analytics and Global Affairs with minors in Finance and European Studies. She is currently a research assistant to Professor Scott Mainwaring, conducting research on democratic deepening in Brazil after the military regime.

Queiroz is one of three undergraduates for the 2025–2026 Global Development Scholars Program, part of the Notre Dame Poverty Initiative, where she contributes to poverty-focused projects that transform research into actionable strategies for policy and development. Through the support of the Nanovic Institute, she has also pursued field-based research in Portugal on the labor market integration of migrants and participated in a United Nations immersion in Geneva on multilateralism and diplomacy.
