Noah Lim is a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in science pre-professional and theology. He is deeply interested in the intersection of spirituality and medicine, actively engaging in spiritual initiatives on campus as the liturgical and retreat director for his residence hall, Dunne. Recently, Noah has begun exploring spirituality in relation to palliative care in a global setting and has begun working with St. Matthew Cathedral, assisting with service/faith formation in 7th/8th graders. Noah is particularly drawn to spirituality because of its profound ability to foster emotional and psychological healing, offering patients a sense of peace and purpose. In addition to these faith-based initiatives, Noah is passionate about medical research. Over the most recent summer, he conducted research on various forms of antibiotic administration (intraosseous vs. intravenous), knee alignment (kinematic vs. mechanical), and hip incision type (bikini vs. anterior), gaining hands-on experience in over 15 knee and hip replacement surgeries. Beyond academics and research, Noah has a passion for swimming and pickleball. Over the past two summers, he served as the head coach of a competitive swim team. Moving forward, Noah is eager to develop his research and leadership skills further as he continues to explore the intersection of spirituality and medicine on his path to becoming a physician focused on comprehensive care.
