Sadie Johnston is a first-year Marketing major in the Mendoza College of Business. She is also pursuing a double major in Spanish and a minor in Collaborative Innovation through the College of Arts and Letters. Her extracurricular passions include music, photography, service, and cycling. As a clarinetist, she enjoys continued participation in music through the Notre Dame marching band, basketball varsity band, and Symphonic Band as first chair. She is also a volunteer director for the Notre Dame Bandlink program, which provides one-on-one instrument mentorship opportunities for children in the local community. Sadie’s predominant research interests stem from her marketing and Spanish studies — delving into the intersections of society, economy, and culture. Ultimately, she seeks to uncover insights that bridge the gap between linguistic and cultural dynamics, historical trends, and market behavior and apply the knowledge within her career as a proponent of appreciating diversity in international business. To achieve her goals, she has developed a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, academic writing, and Spanish literacy, in addition to her innovative and collaborative intellectual perspective.
