About

Mary Braden ‘26 studies Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame with minors in Irish Studies and Peace Studies. Braden is a student leader in the Kellogg Developing Researchers program, mentoring students throughout their research journey. Braden is a research assistant for Dr. Orla Stapleton and Dr. Emily Grubert, working on qualitatively coding interview transcripts and survey responses for two separate projects on bartering and environmental sociology, respectively. Braden is a co-author on an ongoing multidisciplinary research project that examines perceptions of socio-environmental priorities across communities that host energy infrastructure.

Outside of Kellogg Developing Researchers, Braden is an Admissions Ambassador for the University of Notre Dame, and she volunteers weekly with the nonprofit organization ENGin to tutor a Ukrainian youth in English, helping expand her job opportunities with improved English skills.
