About

This profile was current as of 2017, when she was part of the on-campus Kellogg community.

This year, I will be working with Fr. Groody on a section of his upcoming book, Migration and the Eucharist, that seeks to illustrate the experiences of modern-day refugees (in particular, Syrians) by relating their stories to the Book of Psalms. In the past, I have worked on another section of his book, researching the ways in which Christian NGOs or charity organizations practice their faith by ministering to migrants and refugees, particularly along the U.S.- Mexico border.

In the summer of 2015 I worked in Houston, TX with undocumented immigrants, learning hands-on about immigration issues, practicing my Spanish, and conducting a few interviews having to do with my research for Fr. Groody. I studied abroad in Israel/Palestine in the spring of 2016, and spent summer 2016 working with Maryknoll Missioners in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
