¿Mexico? - Undergraduate Research Conference

Conference/Event Grant
Grant Year
2012-2013

In 2011, the Kellogg Institute’s Mexico Working Group undertook a new initiative, a biennial Mexico-focused Undergraduate Student Research Conference. The initiative was designed to promote interest in the study of Mexico at the University of Notre Dame by providing students an opportunity to present original work and to participate in scholarly dialogue related to Mexico. It would do so by bringing together undergraduate students to present their research in panels organized and run by graduate students.

The first such conference, “Mexico: 1810, 1910, 2010,” was held on April 15, 2011, and successfully attracted a large audience of students and faculty. The second conference, entitled ¿México?, is to be held on April 27, 2013.
