This grant is in support of my presentation at the 24th Annual Haitian Studies Association (HSA) conference that will be held at York College- CUNY in Jamaica, New York on November 8 -10, 2012.

The theme of the conference is Haiti Beyond Borders: Challenges and Progress Across the Diaspora. As a scholar of Haitian religion and migration, I have been invited to contribute a paper to a panel on Haitian immigrant Protestant conversion. My paper is entitled, “How many suits is enough? Migration and Wealth in Haitian Pentecostal Churches.”
